This presentation examines the elements of Marsy’s Law and how it has been utilized in the court system as of 2022. Finally, this presentation will discuss how Marsy’s Law has changed the practice of law and the role of victim advocacy.

Human Trafficking 101
Presenter: Marissa Castellanos Human Trafficking Director Catholic Charities of Louisville
The audience will gain increased knowledge of human trafficking definitions and terminology, as well as a better understanding of the vulnerabilities, risk factors and protective factors for individuals. This session will provide human service professionals with information and resources to provide a supportive environment to trafficked survivors.

Adverse Childhood Experiences: ACEs and Social Impacts
Presenter: Nicole Y. Ward Ma, LMFT, BHP
In this session, participants will explore societal systems and the ACEs. We will explore how often people are impacted negatively by society and family functioning. We will also explore healing from trauma.
Level: Advanced
