Kentucky IMPACT represents a statewide program that utilizes wraparound for children, youth and families. Impact provides for the identification and coordination of needed services and supports for children and youth who are involved with multiple child serving agencies and who have a Severe Emotional Disability. Goals for the IMPACT Program:

  • Improve access and coordination of community partners;
  • Reduce dependence on hospitalization and other out of home placements; and
  • Empower families with resource knowledge.
Circle of Hands

Because there are many more families in crises than any one program can serve, and because we are bound by legislative regulations, IMPACT programs can only accept those children who meet the following criteria:

Children must be experiencing serious difficulty in at least two of these areas:

  • Self Care;
  • Interpersonal relationships;
  • Family life;
  • Self direction; or
  • Education

For admission into the program the child must require assistance from at least two service systems (e.g. mental health, school, DPP, DJJ, or DCBS.

Services can include:

Service Coordination
Group Socialization
Summer Camp
School Support
Parent/ Family Support
Family Events
Educational Resource Libraries
Educational Trainings for families/caregivers
