This workshop will increase competence and performance by improving knowledge and skill relating to working with children (and adults) affected by brain differences caused by prenatal exposure to alcohol. Most of these individuals are not fortunate enough to be identified or diagnosed; however, they bring unique needs and challenges that are often misinterpreted as willful misconduct, laziness or noncompliance. Service providers can learn to identify possible brain differences and work more effectively with these individuals.
